Experience
Folk Art Meets Narrative Design
The project began on a positive note, with a shared goal of bringing a short story to life through bold visuals and the richness of Indian folk art. We
chose Bhil art from Central India, and took time
to understand its intricacies and visual language. Working as a team of two, we dividedresponsibilities one focused on layout and color blocking, while the other layered in the detailed motifs true to the art form
What started as an exciting creative challenge quickly became intense, especially with the level of detail required within a 48-hour timeline. Despite the pressure, we’re genuinely proud of what we achieved together and were able to present a fully printed version of the book. We're especially grateful to Siddhant Shah, founder of Access For All, for entrusting us with this opportunity and for his invaluable feedback throughout the process.
CIRCLE OF COMPASSION
Brief
To design a book for neurotypical children in
any Indian folk art style with the provided short story.
Overview
‘Access For ALL’ promotes inclusivity through innovative design and advocacy. This project involved creating a high-contrast, illustration-based storybook for special children, using the Bhil art style to address racism. Despite a tight timeline, each spread was thoughtfully crafted with bold text and vibrant visuals.

WORK
Hello,

I’m an animator on a journey to become a communication designer. My curiosity for graphic design has led me to explore storytelling in new and meaningful ways.
Crafting with attention to detail and a passion for continuous learning, I’ve had the privilege of honing my skills under the guidance of inspiring mentors at Ecole. The work I share is a reflection of this journey, and I would be delighted to hear your thoughts.
I am Maithili,
